Northside looking to use experience to prove themselves in 2024

The Grizzlies won two games in 2023, but believe they have the pieces to surprise people this year.

FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Northside Grizzlies are coming off a disappointing season in 2023 in which they won just two games.

However, every year is a new chance and this year they expect a lot of improvement, thanks to veteran leadership.

Northside enters the season with a lot of experience on the roster headlined by wide receiver Camron Massie and defensive lineman Taylor Webster.

As kickoff approaches, the Grizz are still trying to figure out one of the biggest leadership roles in their quarterback, but Coach Felix Curry believes that until that spot is solidified, the defensive backs and offensive line are ready to lead this team.

"We're not proven yet, but we've got great personnel," said Curry. "We've got some defensive backs with some steady depth and some playing time and some other positions like offensive line, we're trying to be proven."

The Grizzlies will look to prove themselves in a big way in their first game, August 30 against their crosstown rivals the Southside Mavericks
