BENTONVILLE, Ark. — On Oct. 3, USL Arkansas announced that Northwest Arkansas' new men's professional soccer team would be known as Ozarks United FC, officially announcing much anticipated branding, including the club's official colors and crest.

The three pillars of the crest are community, nature, and Arkansas.

Everything from the colors, symbols, and even the font were intentionally chosen to best represent the Northwest Arkansas community, according to USL Arkansas.

The club said that the crest and its design reinforce "the club's commitment to being a club by and for the fans."

In a release from USL Arkansas, the crest was thoroughly explained as a love letter to the region.

Community

The "condensed 'O' shape" represents the Ozark mountains, while the stripes on the side represent the architecture and "aspirational spirit" belonging to the Northwest Arkansas community.

"The ever-ascending stripes represent the region’s limitless potential and its rising acclaim, as well as the mountains that define the Ozarks," according to USL Arkansas.

What's described as the "interwoven 'OZ' monogram" represents the interconnected communities anchored by Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, and Fayetteville.

Nature

The colors of the crest, dubbed "Native Green" for the lighter green and "Ozark Green" for the darker shade, represent the nature of Northwest Arkansas, showing off the forest and terrain of the region.

"The varying shades of green in the crest nod to the beautiful greens of the Ozark forests and the landscape that defines the region," USL Arkansas said.

Arkansas

Also included on the crest is the Arkansas state motto, Regnant Populus, meaning "the people rule," and the number 25 encased in a diamond, representing Arkansas being the 25th state added into the Union.

Looking Ahead

On top of the crest, other branding materials were also released as part of the unveiling.

"In addition to the primary crest, the club features several secondary marks, including a legacy mark that honors Arkansas’s nickname as the 'Natural State' and an origin mark celebrating Arkansas as the 25th state in the Union, highlighting the club’s official launch in 2025," USL Arkansas said.

Ozark United FC will celebrate its inaugural season in 2026, and teases that more updates related to the club's progress will come in the future.
