LINCOLN, Neb. — All good things must come to an end and unfortunately for Arkansas volleyball, that end came against Nebraska in four sets in the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament.

After punching the programs first ticket to that round of the NCAA tournament, the Hogs knew the monumental task that was ahead and despite the odds being stacked against them, they refused to back down.

Arkansas came out undaunted in the first set jumping out to an early lead on the Huskers and it looked like they might steal one early. However, Nebraska's pedigree of playing on big stages showed as they rallied to take the first set 26-24.

The Cornhuskers really began to flex their muscles in the next set as they dominated the Hogs 25-14 and it looked like the outcome of the match was all but a foregone conclusion.

However, this Razorbacks team has shown time and time again there is no quit in them, as with their backs against the wall, they stole the third set 25-21. Handing Nebraska their first set loss of the tournament.

As the teams hit the court for the fourth set, there was a sense that this Arkansas team may be able to pull off the unthinkable and as it began that's certainly what it looked like they might do.

They stood toe-to-toe with the best team in college volleyball trading shots, but at 24-23, just as it looked like the Razorbacks might force a 5th set, a serve sailed long and the season came to a close 25-23.
