EUGENE (KFSM)- Saturday the Arkansas Women’s Track and Field team made history, winning their program’s first NCAA Outdoor Championship.

The No.1 Razorbacks entered the competition with 21 qualifiers, the most out of any of the colleges in attendance. The Hogs finished with 72 points ten more than second place Oregon.

It was the efforts by Dominique Scott that lifted the Hogs to their victory. Scott won the 5,000 meter Saturday and 10,000 meter Thursday. This is Scott’s last season with Arkansas and she is going out on top, finishing with five NCAA titles.

The Razorbacks came into the season with high expectations and they lived up to the hype. They finish the 2015-2016 with the NCAA Outdoor National title, NCAA Indoor National runner-up, and swept the SEC titles.
