FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas women's basketball team used a big fourth quarter on Tuesday night to take down Louisiana Monroe, 81-76.
The Razorbacks found themselves down by a point at halftime after only shooting 29% from the field. After outscoring the Warhawks 22-18 in the third quarter the Hogs took a slim lead into the final frame.
The Hogs saved their best basketball for the fourth quarter taking its largest lead of the night at eleven. Louisiana-Monroe would fight its way back but Arkansas held on for the five point win.
In her Arkansas debut five-star freshman Taliah Scott had a team high 29 points, Makayla Daniels was second of the team with 17. Saylor Poffenbarger had a career high 21 rebounds in the win.
The Razorbacks shot 35% for the game but went just 28-44 from the free throw line.
The Hogs are back in action Friday morning at home to host Murray State at 10:30 a.m.
