Arkansas baseball selected to host a regional

The No. 5 Arkansas baseball team (43-14, 20-10 SEC) will be hosting an NCAA Division I regional later this week. 

The NCAA made the announcement on social media Sunday night. 

This is the second consecutive season Baum-Walker Stadium will be a host for the regional round of playoffs. This is the 11th regional selection in program history and 10th under head coach Dave Van Horn. 

As for who Arkansas will be hosting, the NCAA Men's College World Series selection show is Monday morning at 11 a.m. on ESPN2/ESPNU. 

Arkansas is one of five SEC schools that will be hosting a regional. Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee and Texas A&M will also play host this postseason. 

Selection for the eight super regional hosts will be announced at 9 a.m. on June 4. 

The regional round of playoffs will be from May 31-June 3.
