Arkansas falls to Kansas State, 7-6

Arkansas will face Southeast Missouri in an elimination game Sunday at 1 p.m.

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — Arkansas baseball fell to Kansas State, 7-6, Saturday night and move to 1-1 in regional play. 

Arkansas will face Southeast Missouri in an elimination game Sunday at 1 p.m. 

In the fifth inning, the Razorbacks would get the scoring going off of a throwing error by the Wildcats' catcher and a single into center by Hudson White.

Kansas State would come back in the bottom of the inning to take the lead including a three-run home run from Kaelen Culpepper. 

Jared Sprague-Lott would hit a home run to right field in the bottom of the seventh to cut the lead in half. 

Kansas State added onto the lead in the bottom of the eighth from a solo home run by Nick English for a 7-3 lead. 

Peyton Holt would hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth to make it a one run game. 

Hagen Smith got the start today and became the program's single-season strike out record holder at 156 strikeouts and counting. In five innings of work, Smith allowed six runs on four hits, punched out seven and struck out seven.
