Back-to-back-to-back home runs powers #1 Razorbacks in shutout against Missouri

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — No. 1 Arkansas baseball (16-2, 2-0 SEC) used a six-run sixth inning to take game two and the series against Missouri (9-10, 0-2), 6-0, Saturday afternoon. 

Peyton Stovall, Wehiwa Aloy and Kendall Diggs hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to help Arkansas open up scoring. 

With two runners on in the same frame, Ross Lovich tripled into left center to help the Razorbacks extend the lead by two. Lovich eventually came in to score on a wild pitch to make it a 6-0 lead. 

On the mound, Brady Tygart and Will McEntire tossed the Razorbacks' second consecutive shutout, only allowing one hit. This was Arkansas' first combined nine-inning shutout since 2019. 

Arkansas looks to get the sweep tomorrow afternoon in Baum-Walker Stadium. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. on the SEC Network+.
