Molina fans nine in Razorbacks debut, #3 Razorbacks fall to James Madison

This was James Madison's first win over a top 10 team since 2007.

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — Arkansas (2-1) baseball fell to James Madison (1-2), 7-3, in game three of the opening weekend series.

Arkansas put two runs on the board off of Ben McLaughlin's RBI double. However, a four-run seventh helped JMU take the lead.

Arkansas attempted to mount a rally in the bottom of the seventh, scoring a run on Wehiwa Aloy’s RBI double to cut the deficit to three.

JMU pitcher Joe Vogatsky spoiled the Razorbacks comeback plans. The right-hander earned the win going 4.1 innings in relief, limiting Arkansas to one run on two hits.

This is the Dukes first win over a top 10 team since 2007.

Arkansas pitcher Mason Molina struck out nine in his Razorbacks pitching debut. The southpaw went 3.2 innings allowing two runs on three hits.

The Hogs look to clinch their first series win of the season in tomorrow's finale against the Dukes. First pitch is scheduled for noon Monday, Feb. 19 with true freshman Colin Fisher making his collegiate debut on the mound.
