FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — After a spectacular regular season and sky high hopes of a deep run to Omaha, the Razorbacks season came to a disappointing close Sunday afternoon with a 6-3 loss to Southeast Missouri, in their second meeting of the NCAA regional round.

The Redhawks struck first with Gage Wood on the mound for the Razorbacks, courtesy of a Ty Stauss homerun in the first to put SEMO up 1-0.

Things would then go quiet until the fourth where the Redhawks added three more to their lead with a Josh Cameron single a Michael Mugan hit into a fielders choice and Ian Riley knocking a single to right.

The scoring would also bring an end to Gage Wood's day after three innings of work, in which he managed to sit-down four batters.

Speaking of pitching, SEMO's Collin Wilma had a no-hitter going against the Hogs into the fifth with 6 strikeouts along the way. However that would come to an end in spectacular fashion with Peyton Holt smashing a ball into the Hog Pen to make it 4-1.

It looked like that was the spark the Hogs needed as they proceeded to load the bases in the same inning, but they were unable to manufacture any further offense.

To make matters worse, the first batter up in the 5th for SEMO, Brooks Kettering, would erase the one run Arkansas did score, by belting one over the fence in center to make it 5-1.

The bats would once again go quiet, though this time it would only last until the 7th. Kettering would strike again, this time with a single down the first base line to score a man advancing the score to an imposing 6-1, leaving Arkansas with just six outs to play with.

The next three went by with some suspense, as Arkansas managed to get two into scoring position, but as has been the story were unable to capitalize.

The Hogs would score two in the 9th though off a Peyton Stovall homerun, but it was too little too late as the Hogs would come up short 6-3.
