#2 Razorbacks sweep McNeese

The Razorbacks posted crooked numbers in the third, fifth and sixth innings to increase its winning streak to nine.

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — The No. 2 Arkansas Razorbacks completed its weekend sweep over McNeese in run-rule fashion, 18-5. 

This is the fifth run-rule win of the season for Arkansas. The Razorbacks posted crooked numbers in the third, fifth and sixth innings to increase its winning streak to nine. 

Mason Molina had three scoreless frames before McNeese broke through with a run in the fourth and added four more in the fifth to take a 5-4 lead. 

Arkansas would retake the lead with six runs in the bottom of the fifth. Ty Wilmsmeyer put his team back in front with a two-RBI single then Ross Lovich hit a three-run home run to extend the lead 10-5. 

Molina finished his day with four strikeouts, allowed four runs on three hits and walked three. Out of the bullpen, Gage Wood and Dylan Carter, who is returning from Tommy John surgery, combined to work a scoreless seventh. 

Arkansas continues the homestand Tuesday evening to host Oral Roberts. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. on the SEC Network+.
