AUBURN, Ala. — Arkansas football (3-1) took down Auburn (2-2) on the road, 24-14, Saturday afternoon.
Travis Williams' defense showed out with five turnovers on the day compared to Arkansas' two. TJ Metcalf had two interceptions.
Taylen Green finished the day going 12-of-27 with 151 passing yards and 80 rushing yards. Ja'Quinden Jackson found the endzone twice on Saturday with 75 rushing yards on 22 attempts.
After a slow start in the first quarter, Ja'Quinden Jackson would get the Hogs on the board with one yard touchdown run.
Defensively, Arkansas was able to hold the Tigers to just 173 total yards and forced four turnovers including a interception from Jayden Johnson with 55 seconds to go in the first half.
Taylen Green allowed his first interception of the game on the first play of the following drive to give Auburn a glimpse of hope before heading back into the locker room.
After a slow day for Hank Brown, the Tigers brought in Payton Thorne in the second half. In his second drive of the game, he tied the game up with a 10 yard pass to KeAndre Lambert-Smith.
Sam Pittman and Bobby Petrino sat Green for one drive in the third after throwing his second interception of the day. He came back late in the third and threw a 58 yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Sategna to shift the momentum back to the Hogs.
Hogs would extend their lead 17-7 early in the fourth after a 43 yard field goal from Ramsey.
Tigers would cut the lead to three with a 66 yard touchdown pass from Throne to Lambert-Smith.
Arkansas answered with a one yard touchdown run from Jackson to put the Hogs up by ten.
Arkansas takes on Texas A&M next week at AT&T Stadium. Game time is either 2:30 or 3:15.
