'Razorback Football history' | NIL collective sold pieces of goalposts from Arkansas vs Tennessee game

Six-inch portions of the goalposts from the Arkansas vs Tennessee game were available for purchase, with proceeds going toward NIL.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas Edge, the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) collective for the Arkansas Razorbacks, sold pieces of the goalposts used in the game against Tennessee on Oct. 5.

The Hogs went into the game as underdogs, coming off of a disappointing loss against the Texas A&M Aggies in the final Southwest Classic in Arlington.

Paired against the No. 4 ranked team in the SEC, the Razorbacks went into the fourth quarter trailing by one. However, they managed to squeak out a 19-14 win, scoring big in the last two minutes of the game.

Razorback fans rushed the field after the major upset on Oct. 5, netting a $250,000 fine from the Southeastern Conference.

After the triumphant win, Arkansas Edge sold portions of the goalposts from the game to raise money.

"Own a rare piece of Razorback Football history! 6-inch sections of the goalposts from the Arkansas vs. Tennessee game are available to purchase now," a post from Arkansas Edge said when the goalposts first went on sale. "All proceeds of the sale will go towards Arkansas Edge NIL."

Arkansas Edge said a few of the pieces were autographed, coming signed from Razorback coaches Sam Pittman, Bobby Petrino, and Travis Williams. Only 15 autographed pieces were be available.

The goalposts were listed here but have since sold out. Tickets were selling for $500.
