FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In what looked to be an entertaining one between Arkansas and #19 Ole Miss, the Rebels quickly did away with that notion putting up nearly 700 yards of total offense en route to a blowout 63-31 win at Razorback stadium.
Arkansas vs Ole Miss score updates
Q1
Arkansas won the coin toss and elected to receive.
After a promising 18-yard pass from Taylen Green to Jordan Anthony on the first play the game, the Hogs drive stalled out and they were forced to punt.
Ole Miss realized more success on their opening drive, taking it down to the Hogs one. Ultimately though, it was the same result as Arkansas' first drive as the Rebels were stonewalled by the Razorback's defense on fourth to keep the game scoreless.
The elation from the stop was short lived though as Green would fumble in the endzone where Ole Miss' Jared Ivey would recover for a touchdown to put them up 7-0 with 6:56 left in the first.
Arkansas showed no hangover from the turnover as they immediately began to move the ball down the field, however, any momentum they had came to a screeching halt when Green was injured after being tackled awkwardly on a read option.
The drive did not finish empty though as Matt Shipley hit a 55-yard field goal to get Arkansas on the board 7-3.

Q2
Lane Kiffin's offense did not take long to respond though as Jaxson Dart would find Dae'Quan Wright wide open in the endzone just 32 seconds into the second quarter to make it 14-3 in favor of the Rebels.
Despite the deficit, the Hog's next drive was met with excitement as Green jogged back onto the field, however it was a short-lived jolt of adrenaline as the Razorback's went three and out.
Following the punt, it was a lightning strike from the Ole Miss offense as Dart would hit Jordan Watkins for a 62-yard touchdown on the first play of their drive to make it 21-3 Rebels.
No response was offered by the Razorbacks on their ensuing offensive effort as they once again went three and out.
Whereas the Rebels once again went to Watkins and once again it was a long touchdown, this time from 66-yards out putting Ole Miss on top 28-3 just five minutes into the second quarter.
Despite plenty of time left in the game, it felt as though the outcome of it hinged on the Hogs next drive and they played like it. They drove 75-yards and capped it off with a Rashod Dubinion touchdown run to stay alive 28-10.
That momentum carried over to the defense as they forced the first Ole Miss punt of the day on the ensuing drive and just like that, Arkansas had a chance to get right back into it.
They would have a chance to make it a two-score Ole Miss lead with a field goal, however this time it would sail wide of the mark to keep it an 18-point game.
A mistake the Rebels would make them pay for as they kicked it into high gear before the half to put another seven on the board with the third Dart to Watkins connection in the endzone of the half to make it a 25-point game going into the locker room.

Q3
Fortunes would not improve for the Hogs after the break as the Rebels went right down and Dart threw his fourth touchdown pass to Watkins to make it 42-10.
When it was time for the Hogs offense to take the field, Malachi Singleton was the man under center. The change must have sparked something, as Arkansas moved quickly down the field, punching in their second touchdown of the day, this one on the legs of Singleton to keep the small glimmer of hope they had alive.
However, the Ole Miss offensive clinic continued on their next possession as nose tackle JJ Pegues powered in a one-yard touchdown to make it 49-17.
Despite the success of their last drive the Razorbacks offense went back into neutral stalling out and punting it back to the Rebels.
Who immediately made Arkansas pay with the fifth Dart to Watkins touchdown connection of the day.
The Razorbacks would match the score on their ensuing possession with a Rodney Hill touchdown to make it 56-24.

Q4
Arkansas would force a punt on the Rebels next drive to keep the score at 56-24.
They would begin to mount a promising drive on their next possession, but a fumble out of the back of the endzone causing a change of possession giving the ball back to the Rebels.
The next drive finally saw Jaxson Dart's day come to an end, his final stat line 25-31 for 515 yards and six touchdowns. Both the yards and touchdowns are career bests for Dart.
Just because their starting QB checked out though didn't mean the Rebels offense slowed down. Austin Simmons stepped in and picked right up where Dart left throwing a touchdown pass to Wright, his second touchdown reception of the game.
The Hogs would continue to fight on their next drive as Singleton would lead another march that culminated in a touchdown hitting Luke Hasz from 22-yards out to make it 63-31.
That would bring an end to the scoring on the afternoon as Ole Miss was able to run out the clock from there to secure their victory.
