TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Arkansas proved they were fighters Saturday in Tuscaloosa against the 11th ranked Alabama, but in the end they once again lose in a one possession game 24-21.

Things started slow in Bryant-Denny Stadium, as the two team traded three and outs to begin the game, but on their second trip onto the field the Razorback's offense would gain some traction.

Arkansas was able to drive into field goal range for Cam Little who was able to pay it off with three points from 55-yards away to give the Hogs the lead.

After another defensive stop, the Hogs would once again drive into Alabama territory and end their drive with three, this time from 49-yards out to expand their lead to 6-0.

However it was at this point the Alabama's offense woke up.

They would go on to score touchdown's on their next three drives.

The first was a lightning strike 79-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Milroe pass to Kobe Prentice on third down.

The second was the product of a 10-play, 83 yard drive that saw Milroe sneak it in from the one, courtesy of the "tush push" play that has become all the rage in football.

The third and final Tide score of the first half was once again through the air, this time Milroe connected with Amari Niblack from 29-yards away to give the Tide a 21-6 lead going into the half.

The Hog's defense did show life coming out of the locker room, forcing an Alabama punt on their first drive of the third quarter, but once again the offense failed to build on the effort.

After an Arkansas three and out, the Tide would once again put points on the board, though this time it was only three. Will Reichard would hit from 30-yards to give Bama a three score lead 24-6.

The Razorbacks would respond by putting together their best drive of the game, a 10-play, 77 yard march that ended in their first touchdown of the day and the first touchdown of Isaiah Sategne's career, 5-yard strike from KJ Jefferson.

The score also marked the 18th straight game in which Jefferson has thrown a touchdown pass.

With the game now back to within two scores at 24-13, it was up to the Arkansas defense to step up, which they were able to do, getting the Crimson Tide off the field in three plays.

Momentum began to swing further toward the Razorback's sideline, as the offense drove 69-yards to score a touchdown on their second straight, a 14-yard Jefferson to Rashod Dubinion touchdown pass.

Following the score, the Hogs would go for two in order to make it a three point game. The try was successful after an excellent effort by Andrew Armstrong to stretch the ball across the goalline to make it 24-21 with 10:59 left in the game.

However despite a strong stand by the defense, the offense was unable to close the gap further.

From there the Tide was able to grind the clock out and leave with the the 24-21 win.
