DALLAS, Texas — As the football season approaches, United Airlines is adding extra services so fans can make it to the biggest college football games this year.
United is adding 20 nonstop flights and flying bigger planes on 115 flights to 30 of the biggest games across the country, including the big Arkansas game in Arlington on Sept. 28.
"Connecting travelers to the moments that matter most to them is at the core of what we do at United," Patrick Quayle, United’s senior vice president of Global Network Planning and Alliances, said. "We know fans will appreciate this year’s special football schedule that will make it easier to cheer on their teams on the road."
For the Arkansas versus Texas A&M game on Sept. 28, United has added the following services:
- Flying bigger planes between Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) in Bentonville and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Houston between Friday, Sept. 27, and Sunday, Sept. 29
- Flying bigger planes between IAH and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) between Friday, Sept. 27, and Sunday, Sept. 29
There are no direct flights for this game. All United flights will connect in Houston, and all added services will fly out on Friday and back on Sunday.
United has also added services for the Tennessee versus Arkansas game on Oct. 4, the LSU game on Oct. 18, and the University of Texas game on Nov. 15. These games will be hosted at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.
