FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — No. 14 Arkansas softball (31-12, 10-7 SEC) fell to No. 15 Alabama (31-11, 8-9), 5-1, Saturday night.
This loss ties up the weekend series.
Reagan Johnson scored on a wild pitch in the first inning to give Arkansas the lead. Robyn Herron was able to keep Alabama scoreless until the fifth inning.
In the fifth, the Crimson Tide tied the game up off of a fielding error then took the lead off a single from Lauren Johnson on one out. Alabama would get some insurance off of a three-run home run from Jenna Johnson.
In 4.2 innings, Herron allowed four runs on four hits and punched out seven.
Arkansas has one more chance to take the series Sunday afternoon. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. on ESPNU.
