#16 Razorbacks walk-off Southeast Missouri State

Sophomore Regan Johnson's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth helped Arkansas win 6-5.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Sophomore Reagan Johnson’s walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth carried No. 16 Arkansas (17-4) to a 6-5 win against Southeast Missouri State (SEMO) Sunday afternoon.

SEMO put up a five-spot in the top of the first. Arkansas answered with six unanswered runs on nine hits.

Sophomore left-hander Robyn Herron earned the win coming into the circle in the second inning. Herron limited the Redhawks to just two hits in 6.1 innings.

In the bottom of the eighth, Cylie Halvorson reached second on a throwing error to put a runner in scoring position. Hannah Gammill was intentionally walked to give Arkansas another runner.

Spencer Prigge then delivered a crucial sacrifice bunt to advance pinch runner Nyjah Fontenot to third and Gammill to second. Johnson cracked a sacrifice fly to center to score Fontenot to give the Razorbacks a 6-5 win.

Arkansas will take on Nebraska Thursday at 5 p.m. for the Razorback Rumble at Bogle Park. The game will be streamed on SEC Network+.
