FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — With Razorback football season nearly underway, Tyson Foods will have a new snack for hungry Hog fans starting in early August.

Two famous Arkansas brands are finally teaming up to bring fans Tyson Razorback Nuggets. The nuggets are designed to resemble the University of Arkansas's iconic Hog mascot.

Although it's surprising Tyson waited this long to bridge this hometown partnership in nugget form, it is also perfect timing with new blood and attitudes toward Razorback athletics.

In a release, Tyson Foods said the latest hire of Hall of Fame coach John Calipari is stirring up excitement among long-time Hog fans. Additionally, Razorback Football just kicked off their fall practices on July 31. Not only did coach Sam Pittman say the program's culture is powerful ahead of the new season, but he also said this is the physically strongest team he has seen.

"When Arkansas fans cheer on our teams this season they will be inspired by their passion for the Hogs and fueled by the new Tyson Razorback Nuggets," Director of Athletics Hunter Yurachek said. "With these two iconic Arkansas brands teaming up, the Razorback Nation will be primed and ready to 'Call the Hogs' from pre-game to post-game while showing their loyal support of our more than 460 Razorback student-athletes."

The nuggets will be in the freezer aisle of select Walmart stores in early August and in select Sam's Club locations in September.
