Olympic power couple works morning shift at Raising Cane's in Fayetteville

"Love supports us both on and off the field."

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Before they head out to Paris to represent Team USA in the 2024 Olympics, Olympians Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall clocked in for a different kind of workout at the Raising Cane's in Fayetteville.

Tara Davis-Woodhall is set to compete in the women's long jump for the second time in her career, while her husband, Paralympian Hunter Woodhall, aims to qualify for multiple different events for what would be his third Paralympics.

The couple spent Wednesday morning "sharing their love for their respective sports, their fans, their home base of Fayetteville, and each other while serving up chicken," said one Raising Cane's spokesperson.

Tara and Hunter competed in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics together, making them one of five couples who have competed alongside each other for the U.S. team.

During their time by the friers, the couple spoke to media outlets about what it's like to be an Olympic power couple, saying, "Love supports us both on and off the field ... We’ve accomplished many things that we are incredibly proud of, but none of that matters if you don’t have someone to share it with."

Tara snagged her place in the Paris Olympics with a 7-meter leap during the trials, and Hunter — who set a new record in the 100-meter T62 when he clocked a time of 11 seconds flat — will race for a spot at the trials in Florida starting July 18.

On Friday, July 26, the 2024 Paris Olympics Summer Games will begin, and one month later, the Paralympics will begin on Aug. 28.
