NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The Arkansas Razorback women's hoops squad got a big win in North Little Rock against the Samford Bulldogs 68-54. It was a close game to start it off as the teams traded scoring runs in the first quarter. Arkansas would barely claim the upper hand after one leading 13-11.

Onto the second quarter where the Hogs really got it going late. Arkansas went on a 10-0 run to end the half capped off by a buzzer-beater three by Makayla Daniels and the Hogs went into the break up 29-21.

The third quarter started slow for both teams as only four total points were scored by either team in the first four minutes both baskets coming from the Bulldogs. However, the Razorbacks got going late in the third to extend their lead even more after a solid late run and the Hogs held a 14-point lead going into the last frame leading 49-35.

The 4th was more of the same. Very back and forth between the two teams as neither was able to change the scoring outlook. The Bulldogs were unable to close the gap and Arkansas held on 68-54.

Samara Spencer led the way for Arkansas scoring 20 points, her second 20-point game of the season. Arkansas will now head back to Florida where they will compete in the West Palm Beach Classic against Illinois on December 20th.
