Improvements to Sycamore Street in Fayetteville requires closures

A 12-foot paved trail will be installed south of Sycamore Street, and a sidewalk on the north side of the street.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — According to the City of Fayetteville, both lanes of West Sycamore Street between Garland Avenue and North Leverett Avenue will be closed, effective Monday, June 24. 

The City said workers will be making improvements, including drainage and utility improvements, as part of the midtown corridor project.

A 12-foot paved trail will be installed south of Sycamore Street, and a sidewalk on the north side of the street. 

A detour will be in place and construction is expected to last at least two months.
