BELLA VISTA, Ark. — According to Bella Vista officials, one person died in a Highway 71 crash on the evening of Dec. 6.
Orin Keplinger, 82, of Garden Prairie Illinois, was reportedly traveling southbound in the northbound lane of Highway 71 when his car collided head-on with another vehicle.
Officials report that Bella Vista Police and EMS arrived on the scene around 8 p.m. and transported Keplinger to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was treated for minor injuries and released, officials report.
