An Ozark man is dead and two others are injured after a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 64 near Altus on March 22.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ark. — A fatal head-on collision on U.S. Highway 64 near Altus left one man dead and two others injured on March 22, according to an Arkansas State Trooper's fatal crash report.

The report says 44-year-old Robert Holman of Ozark was driving westbound on the highway and crossed over the centerline, hitting an oncoming car heading eastbound.

After the head-on collision, Holman's vehicle "rotated counter-clockwise and came to rest in the westbound lane facing east." The other vehicle, the report says, went off the roadway into a ditch. Weather conditions were clear.

The man driving the car eastbound was injured and was taken to a nearby hospital. The crash happened around 3:42 p.m.

The trooper's report also shows a minor was in the car with Holman and was transported to a nearby hospital.
