As you know winter is right around the corner and one thing we know for certain is that there's sure to be some arctic blasts and at least a mention or two of frozen precipitation across 5COUNTRY.
As always we want to know how all of you are feeling about winter. So we continued the tradition of going out and getting the pulse of the opinions surrounding the cooler winter months.
So, what do the people of 5COUNTRY actually think?
Well, the number one answer to why people love winter is the cold weather. This year we have seen numerous heat domes build across Oklahoma and Arkansas, resulting in short-term heat waves. After an extremely hot and humid summer and fall, we are due for some colder temperatures.
The next fan favorite was the snowfall that comes across 5COUNTRY. We are heading into a moderate La Nina season, meaning that most likely we'll see multiple small snowy systems moving into Arkansas this year. If you remember last year we had a large ice storm cut across Northwest Arkansas and especially the River Valley. Ironically enough, ice happens to be the least favorite of 5COUNTRY. So let's hope we avoid that this year!
When it comes to food, people enjoy staying inside and enjoying something that's warm and comforting. So as temperatures start drop below freezing have your comfort food ready to go!
