ARDOT monitoring road conditions as snow and ice stall traffic on I-49

Two semis are stalled near West Fork blocking traffic in the southbound lanes of I-49 as winter weather continues in Northwest Arkansas and River Valley.

ARKANSAS, USA — Winter weather is once again sweeping through Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley Wednesday, Jan. 19.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is warning drivers about protentional ice-covered roads.

ARDOT reports slush, ice patches and snow on roads in Springdale, Fayetteville and leading down into the River Valley. 

ARDOT also reports heavy traffic in the southbound lanes of I-49 caused by two stalled semis.
