Damage, power outages in eastern Oklahoma due to possible tornado

A strong line of storms created a possible tornado in eastern Oklahoma Monday evening.

LE FLORE COUNTY, Okla. — Due to a possible tornado, emergency crews say trees are down, homes are damaged, and power is out for several people in LeFlore County. 

LeFlore County Emergency Management says houses in and around Monroe, Okla., have been damaged. 

OG&E reports that over 400 homes are without power in Howe. 

Other reports state that a driver hydroplaned on Highway 59 near Long Lake Resort, and water rescue crews responded.

The LeFlore County sheriff confirmed with 5NEWS that two people were rescued from a double-wide trailer on Turner Road in Howe, Okla. They are reported to be okay. 

The severe storms are traveling west over the Arkansas border. 

Both Oklahoma and Arkansas will see strong to severe storms throughout the night.
