FORT SMITH, Ark. — The City of Fort Smith released a list of areas to avoid after a rough patch of severe storms made their way through early Tuesday morning.
Around 3 a.m., Sebastian County was under a tornado warning— heavy rain and straight-line wind was reported throughout the River Valley, with over 7,000 people in Crawford County without power as of 4 a.m.
"Severe weather is a possibility at present and throughout the day. Please do not risk driving into flooded areas, especially when a barricade is present," the City of Fort Smith said in a statement sent just before 4 a.m. on Tuesday.
