A Tornado Watch is coming for NW Arkansas and perhaps portions of the River Valley.

ARKANSAS, USA — Winds have been strong on Saturday out of the south winds gusts upwards of 40mph. These winds are happening ahead of the system that will move across our area tonight.

A few severe thunderstorms will be possible this evening. The high amount of wind shear combined with modest instability will lead to the potential of rotatinf storms.

SW Missouri is somewhat more favored for rotating storms but it's possible that we could see these storms develop as far south as Fort Smith. South of I40 the threat is more limited.

The threat is expected to shift east by midnight or earlier.
