All Walmarts in Rogers reopen after storms knocked out power

A lot of storm debris on Walnut Street has been cleared, but both lanes from 24th Street to S Dixieland Rd are still closed.

ROGERS, Ark. — The Walmart Supercenter on Walnut Street in Rogers closed down on May 26 after a tornado touched down nearby, scattering debris and knocking down power, but officials confirmed it reopened for business on May 29.

According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), a lot of storm debris on Walnut Street has been cleared, but both lanes from 24th Street to S Dixieland Rd are still closed.

The Walmart Neighborhood Market on South 8th Street has also reopened for business, according to Walmart.

Keith Foster with the Rogers Police Department reminds the public to not pass any barricades while responders work to clean up roadways.

"Don't pass barricades," Foster said. "We are still cleaning up so expect slow traffic or delays."
