    FORT SMITH (KFSM)– Fire crews responded to a house fire on Remington Way in Fort Smith just before 2 a.m. on Thursday (Jan. 11). Crews say there was only one man in the home at the time of the blaze. He was able to escape without injury. The cause of the fire is now under investigation.   • Crews Repair Water Main Break On U Of A Campus

    Fayetteville (KFSM) — Crews are working to repair a water main break on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. According to workers with University of Arkansas facilities management, the water main break happened at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday (May 23). Workers believe the break happened near the engineering building on campus. Mark Rogers, Water and Sewer Operations Manager said there was a hole in a pipe and it is now fixed.   • Fayetteville Police Search For Armed Robbery Suspect

    Fayetteville (KFSM) — Fayetteville police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who robbed a convenience store early this morning (May 15). Police say the incident happened at 2:10 a.m. at the Bypass Mini Mart on Garland Avenue. The suspect is described as a black male who is approximately 5′ 6″ tall wearing a black coat, black hat and a bandanna over his face. Anyone with information about the robbery or suspect should contact the Fayetteville Police Department at (479) 587-3555. 

  • Fayetteville Police Identify Man Killed After Falling From Apartment Window

    FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)– Police identified a man who fell to his death from the window of a Fayetteville apartment building early Friday morning (Feb. 17). The man was identified as Brian Gray Colton, 26, of Fayetteville, according to a Fayetteville Police Department press release. Officers were dispatched to the scene at The Cardinal apartments on W.   • Rogers Cabinet Shop Goes Up In Flames

    ROGERS (KFSM) — Firefighters battled a blaze caused by an electrical malfunction at a cabinet shop Friday morning (Dec. 2). The fire happened at Signature Wood Products in the 500 block of West Dyke Road. Captain Dennis Thurman with the Rogers Fire Department said it is suspected that a dust collection system used at the business was in part.  The building was full of wood products.     ROGERS (KFSM) —  One person died Friday morning (June 17) in a single-vehicle crash in Rogers. The wreck happened around 3:45 a.m. in the area of North Arkansas Street and East Walker Road, according to the Rogers Police Department. Firefighters said an antique store along Highway 271 went up in flames around 3:30 a.m. When fire crews arrived on scene, the building was fully engulfed in flames.
