    BOKOSHE (KFSM)– Bokoshe Public Schools will not hold classes today (Feb. 6) due to an electricity outage. School will resume tomorrow (Feb. 7) at the regular time.   • Man Dies After Officer-Involved Shooting Near Sequoyah Memorial Hospital

    SALLISAW (KFSM) — A man died Monday morning (Jan. 22) after an officer-involved shooting in the parking lot of Northeastern Health Systems – Sequoyah, according to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Jonathan Duane Atchley, 37, began physically assaulting an officer after being pulled over by Sallisaw police at 10:45 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 21), according to OSBI.   • UPDATE: One Person Killed After Early Morning House Fire

    WHEELER (KFSM) — One person has died and another person was hospitalized following an early-morning house fire on Monday (Jan. 22), according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Crews were called about 2:08 a.m. Monday to Clear Water Road for a house fire. A person was found in the debris, but officials couldn’t confirm their identity, according to Kelly Cantrell, sheriff’s office spokeswoman.   • One Man Dead After Collision In Leflore County

    LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM)– One man is dead after a head on collision according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol. the accident happened on Sunday (Jan. 14) at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Leflore Road just one mile west of US 271. It happened when the driver a 1991 Chevy pickup was headed westbound and went left into the center, striking another vehicle.   • Slick Roads In Johnson County Cause Multiple Accidents On Interstate 40

    JOHNSON COUNTY (KFSM)– A three mile stretch of Interstate 40 westbound by Knoxville was closed for nearly two hours Sunday morning (Jan. 14), while police worked multiple accidents from the highway being slick and hazardous. The closure was from about 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at exit 64 to 67, according to ARDOT. So far, no injuries have been reported, according to Arkansas State Police.     SPRINGDALE (KFSM)– Crews responded to an early morning house fire on Sunday (Jan. 14). Fire crews were called to a home on Ewalt Avenue  around 1:30 a.m. Right now, police don’t know what caused the fire but no injuries were reported. The cause of fire is still under investigation.   • Northbound Lane on Vaughn Road In Bentonville Closed After Vehicle Fire

    BENTONVILLE (KFSM)– Crews are on scene after a vehicle caught fire on Monday (Jan. 8). The vehicle caught fire between South Vaughn and Motley Road. According to dispatch, the vehicle was fully engulfed by the flames but no injuries were reported. The driver says the vehicle unexpectedly caught fire while he was on the road.
