    FORT SMITH (KFSM)– It’s a holiday shopping extravaganza. The Arkansas River Holiday shopping market will be held on Saturday (Nov. 4)  from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on (Nov. 5) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The two day event will feature local vendors from across the region. tickets are $5 dollars at the door.     FORT SMITH (KFSM)– Preparations are underway for The Arc for the River Valley  holiday events. Several events will be held in the coming months to raise money and help provide programming for people with disabilities.   • Flight Attendant Injured On Plane Headed To XNA

    BENTONVILLE  (KFSM)– A female flight attendant was injured after a flight headed to Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport experienced heavy turbulence Thursday night (Oct. 26). An American Airlines spokesman described the injury as minor and said Friday (Oct. 27) the woman had been released from a Bentonville hospital.   • Tontitown Police Officer Injured In Chase, Suspect With Baby In Car Arrested

    TONTITOWN (KFSM)– A police officer was injured after a chase Saturday morning (Sept. 30), according to a release from the Tontitown Police Department. It happened at approximately 2:30 a.m.  According to police, officers tried to stop a vehicle for driving erratically through an apartment complex and then headed east on Highway 412. The pursuit went onto south Interstate 49 where police say the driver made an abrupt stop near the Don Tyson exit, causing the officer to rear-end the suspect. […]

  • 12th Annual Power Of The Purse Event

    FORT SMITH (KFSM)– Power of The Purse will be held on (Oct. 10) at the DoubleTree. This fundraiser draws in hundreds of people, and all of they money raised will go towards educating children throughout the River Valley. More than 45 purses will be auctioned off. The event will also feature internet sensation Kristina Kuzmic.   • Intense High Speed Chase Ends In Fayetteville

    FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)– Police have arrested a man after a high speed chase on Sunday (Oct. 1). According to police, Dickie Spears, 55, led police on a chase that started in Lincoln and ended at the Red Light District NWA nightclub on M.L.K. in Fayetteville.
