    Fort Smith (KFSM) — A Veteran who served in three wars will be laid to rest Monday (Sept. 9th) at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. A celebration ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. for Russell  “Buck” Chambers at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Smith. A formal ceremony will also be held at the National Cemetery.   • Early Morning Accident Kills Pedestrian, Victim Identified

    BENTON COUNTY (KFSM)– An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was hit and killed early Saturday morning (August 22). Arkansas State Police have identified 29-year-old Ryan Dame of Fort Smith, as the victim. The accident happened around 3 a.m. along Interstate 49 South near mile-marker 75, according to ASP. A police report states a 2015 GMC Sierra, driven by James Freeman of Springdale, was headed southbound on I-49 when Dame entered the roadway from the east side. Investigators state Freeman was […]
