    LITTLE ROCK (KFSM) — The National Weather Service (NWS) has completed its first survey around the Mountain Home area caused by Friday’s (April 13) storm.     NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (KFSM) —  The family of a missing woman, Megan Huckaby (Rogers),  is making a big effort in finding her.  The 22-year-old has been missing for seven months and her family fears for her safety.     ROCKPORT (KFSM) — An Arkansas State Trooper has been shot in Hot Spring County Sunday (April 1) night, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. According to Arkansas State Police, State Trooper Kyle Sheldon received non-life threatening wounds during a traffic stop in Rockport, Hot Spring County.     FORT SMITH (KFSM) — Fort Smith police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex where one victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.   • OSBI Investigating Muskogee County Jail Death

    MUSKOGEE, Okla. (KFSM) — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is looking into an inmate death that happened at the Muskogee County Jail Saturday (Mar. 24). According to OSBI, Brandy Edwardsen, 23, was found unresponsive in her jail cell shortly after midnight. She was taken to a hospital where she later died.   • Smokey Areas Around The State Due To Controlled Burns

    ARKANSAS (KFSM) — Smoke filled the sky in southwest Benton County and several other areas Saturday (Mar. 3). The plumes of smoke are  from a prescribed burn, according to the Arkansas Forestry Commission (AFC). The Benton County burn covered 1,312 acres and was nine miles west of Fayetteville.   • Arkansas Man Killed In Storm; Mobile Home ‘Blown Into Pond’

    CLAY COUNTY (KFSM) — In Arkansas, Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller confirms one fatality from Saturday’s (Feb. 24) storm. Albert Foster, 83, of Knobel, was killed when extreme winds overturned his mobile home. Sheriff Miller told media that Foster’s home was blown into a nearby pond. The storm damaged several areas of Clay County.  Reports received by law enforcement included power outages, downed power poles and flooded roads, according to their Facebook page.

    BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KFSM) — Adam Brooks Flores, the man who was holed up in a culvert, has surrendered to authorities, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.     WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM) — The person killed in a multi-car crash on I-49 north, just before the West Fork exit, has been identified as fifty-seven-year-old Joseph Palasak, from Rogers, according to an Arkansas State Police (ASP) Preliminary Fatal Crash Report.   • Icy Road Conditions Cause Big Problems In Springdale

    SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KFSM) —  Icy roads have caused massive commuter problems along Interstate 49, in both directions in Springdale One driver called 5NEWS to report seeing multiple law enforcement crews, tow trucks and massive delays heading into Springdale, coming from Highway 412.  “When you turn south onto I-49, there is a huge pileup on the ramp,” said Art Brown.
