CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) -- Family members shared the identity of a Crawford County man who was found dead in the rubble of a mobile home fire on Monday (Oct. 10) -- and they also provided updates on the investigation into his murder.

Mike King was found dead inside his burned down mobile home on Ozark Road, members of his family told 5NEWS Thursday (Oct. 13). Investigators said the home burned sometime between 4 and 5 a.m.

Linda King, his sister, said she believes her brother was shot with a sawed-off shotgun before his home was burned. She said the man who is currently in custody as a suspect knew her brother and lived nearby.

King said she thinks there was an altercation between the two men before her brother was murdered.

She found her brother's trailer burning on Monday morning and tried to pull him out, she said.

"I was screaming his name, just hoping I could figure out where he was at," King said. "We busted the bay window out. Flames just rolled out."

Now the King family is planning Mike King's funeral. Linda King said she will miss her brother's love, strength, wisdom and silliness the most.

"People would flock to him whenever they were in a crisis," Linda King said. "He could put a smile on their face and help them with their troubles; he would give good advice."

King's funeral is set for Sunday 1 p.m. at Griffin Funeral home in Damus Arkansas. You can find the family's Go Fund Me page here.
