ARKANSAS, USA — Large hail, sometimes two to three inches in diameter, struck the River Valley today from Spiro, Oklahoma to Knoxville, Arkansas.
When hail reaches above one inch in diameter, it can start to cause damage.

FIRST ROUND OF HAIL
Supercells quickly spun up in northern Le Flore County, dropping 2" hail stones near Spiro, Fort Coffee, Pocola, and Arkoma.
As it passed the south side of Fort Smith, the stones were a little bit smaller, but still caused some damage.
SECOND ROUND OF HAIL
The hailstorm quickly strengthened over northeastern Sebastian County, dropping up to 3" sized hail from Central City to Lavaca and Bloomer.
MORE HAIL IN LOGAN COUNTY
Up to 2" inch hail fell from Caulksville to Paris, with more dropping from Subiaco to Shoal Creek and Midway/New Blaine.
More storms are possible by early Wednesday morning as the final cold front pushes through Arkansas and Oklahoma. More hail, wind, and even tornadoes are possible.
COVERAGE FROM MONDAY'S STORMS:
Additional storms are likely to hit Wednesday morning, some turning severe. Hail, gusty winds, and isolated tornadoes are possible. The key timing for storms in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley would be from 6 AM - 1 PM.
Afterwards we'll dry out and cool down with temperatures dropping to the 50s with wind chills in the 40s.
