FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas forward Trevon Brazile is returning to the Razorbacks after initially declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft and entering the transfer portal.
Brazile, 6-10 and 220 pounds, announced his decision to enter the NBA draft just 24 hours before rumors started swirling that John Calipari was departing from Kentucky. He went through the NBA Draft Combine and pre-draft process, but withdrew his name before the deadline and entered the transfer portal.
The Springfield, Mo., native and former Missouri transfer started 23 games last season for Arkansas, averaging 8.6 points and 5.9 rebounds. Brazile scored a season-high 19 points in an 80-75 upset victory over then-No. 7 Duke.
With the additions of Brazile and former Kentucky guard D.J. Wagner, who committed to the Hogs last month, Calipari could be finished rebuilding the Razorbacks roster, which currently sits at nine players.
In early May, Calipari said he only wanted a roster of "eight or nine guys."
