HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas — Police have now charged a fourth person in connection to the kidnapping and killing of Amir Ellis.
According to new court records that we obtained, 18-year-old Takahi Shelby is charged with felony kidnapping in relation to Amir Ellis' disappearance.
A probable cause affidavit said Amir was at Shelby's house when three other suspects came by to take him to another location.
Those suspects are Nathaniel Speed, Alexis Chambers, and someone who was 17 years old at the time. All three suspects are now charged with capital murder.
"I don't have any ill feelings towards these children, but I cannot fathom the thought of them just getting to live their best 18 or 19-year-old lives and my son don't," said Jessica Ellis, Amir's mother.
Two months ago, police found the remains of Amir in a wooded area near Jessieville. However, they have not released the cause of death yet.
Ellis said she is closer to justice but wants to see those responsible for her son's death take accountability for their actions.
The next court date for the three charged with capital murder will be in March.
Garland County has a gag order on this case which means that beyond scheduling details, police, prosecutors, and defense lawyers are limited to what they can tell the public.
